Every wedding I design and coordinate is special in its own way, but when I get to plan a wedding for a friend that is more like a sister the feelings turn into more than just special. They turn into pure joy!! Lexi and Taylor kicked the weekend off on Friday with their closest family and friends at First and Green for the rehearsal dinner! The event space was brought to life with farm tables and ivory linens with touches of gold and greenery to soften the rustic vibe of the space. The rentals for the weekend were provided by Event Rentals. Guests enjoyed delicious southern cuisine from High Cotton Catering and entertainment brought to you by Brian Smith! The next day, the bridesmaids awaked from lodging at The Lofts on the Square and were pampered by Brii Lyon and team. The couple exchanged their vows in a beautiful ceremony at the historic Whitaker Furniture Building where custom benches and an entry door were built, bringing the abandoned building to life. The guests were welcomed to First and Green for the reception to find the space adorned with large flower arrangements and mauve and rose gold lines that draped the tables. The amazing food was prepared just for the couple and provided by Fresh Cut Catering and Floral. The Cakery designed the strawberry with cream cheese iced grooms’ cake to perfection and the yummiest wedding cake was baked by a personal friend! As the night went on, the dance floor was filled to the sound of The Band Style. The night came to a close with maracas, such a fitting touch to send the newlyweds off on Cinco de Mayo! The special day was captured by Patrick Remington Photography and Sami Sue Studios. Congratulations Lexi and Taylor!
